Mitch Gould
Chief Executive Officer
Mitch, a third-generation retail distribution and manufacturing professional specializing in consumer products, has more than 25 years of experience in the retail industry. His expertise spans several categories of consumer products, including lawn and garden, hardware and, more recently, sports nutrition, dietary supplements and beverages. Over the years, he has represented organizations such as Igloo, Rubbermaid, Sunbeam, Remington, Ames, Chapin, Paramont, Miracle-Gro, Desa International, Native Remedies, Flora Health, Organic Food Bar, Organika and Bob Wall's KO Fitness drink.
Mitch has also successfully launched a wide range of products from concept to shelf, many of which can be found in prestigious magazines like Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, People, US, U.S. News & World Report, Men's Health and Maxim. He has placed new entrepreneurs, major companies and celebrity-branded products—such as Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt, Hulk Hogan's "Hogan Energy" supplement and Chuck Liddell's Iceman RX—into some of the most sought-after markets and accounts in the country. These include Wal-Mart USA, Wal-Mart International, Sam’s Club, Costco, GNC, Tree of Life, Albertson's, Fred Myer, Amazon.com, Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, K-Mart, 7-Eleven, Target, Miejers, Fred's, USA Sports, Vitamin World, Long's, Happy Harry's, Home Depot, Lowes and Menards.

Jeff Fernandez
Director Of Global Sales
Jeff Fernandez has over 20 years of diversified retail purchasing experience in large multi format brick and mortar operations and the largest online retailer operation. Jeff brings an in depth understanding of retail operations, purchasing, and category management. Jeff has had proven success managing multi- million dollar health and personal categories at some of the world’s largest retailers including Wal-Mart and Amazon.com. During his tenure at Amazon.com, he played a key role in launching the Health and Personal care store at Amazon.com. His responsibilities included building and managing categories at Amazon that included Sports Nutrition, Vitamins, Weight Loss, Health Care OTC, Sexual Wellness, as well as early responsibilities in Personal Care and Grocery. Jeff was responsible for building a business at Amazon.com from nothing to close to $100 million in revenue over the last 5 years. Jeff’s wealth of industry knowledge and deep relationships with all manufacturers are attributes that are being utilized effectively for NPI’s client base.
Brian Gould
Director Of Operations
Brian is fourth generation manufacturing and retail distribution. His background includes management at Home Base, a Southern California home center chain owned by WABAN. Brian has represented over 20 major companies to Home Depot, such as, Cal Plastics, Dynamic Designs, Diamond to name a few. He has an in-depth understanding of the objectives, goals and challenges that today's manufacturers face. Brian is highly familiar with the Dietary Health Supplement, Functional Food, Skin Care and Nutritional Beverage Industries, and played an instrumental role in developing the sports nutrition category at Amazon.com,and launching several consumer product lines from concept to shelf. He has assisted manufactures in the placement of products into accounts such as: Wal-Mart, Vitamin World, Tree of Life / KEHE, 7-Eleven, Amazon.com, GNC and drugstore.com to name a few. Brian has key relations with Vitamin World, Walgreens, Ahold, Duane Reade, GNC, Costco Wholesale, Katz Group, Miejers, Bartell Drug, Puritans Pride, Shopko, Cardinal Health, Wakefern and Walmart stores. His knowledge in the Sports Nutrition / Health and Wellness categories helped leverage the development and operations of Hogan Nutrition and Ronnie Coleman Nutrition.com sites which offer over 100 major name brands.
Scott Gould
Vice President Of Business Development
Scott brings to NPI and it's clientel his 10 years of experience with technology (web, e-commerce, database, hardware, supporting users), and 4 years of sales experience. He is also fourth generation manufacturing and retail distribution. He excels at providing cost effective solutions and devising out of the box approaches to meet NPI client's individual needs. His skills are a natural fit to the NPI team.
Dr. Thomas Balshi
Board Of Directors
Dr. Thomas Balshi is double board certified in internal medicine and dermatology. He has extensive training in both medical and surgical disciplines and is the creator of the popular Dermatology and Liposculpture Center in Delray Beach, Florida. He is the founder of “Balshi M.D. Derma-Ceuticals”, an exquisite line of natural skin care products proven to turn dull tired looking skin into healthy radiant skin.
An honors graduate of Boston College, Dr. Balshi pursued graduate studies in Microbiology at Thomas Jefferson University Medical School in Philadelphia. After going on to earn his medical degree, he was a resident in internal medicine at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, where he was honored to serve as Chief Resident of the Department of Medicine, including teaching responsibilities for 45 residents. The next step was to complete a second residency in Dermatology at the prestigious Gulf South Medical Surgical Institute in New Orleans.
Dr. Balshi approaches all his medical responsibilities from the standpoint of whole body wellness. His many fortes include aesthetic enhancement of pigmented skin conditions and has developed and trademarked a skin lightening cream called IntiLight. He also specializes in non-invasive skin rejuvenation and cosmetic-enhancing dermatology procedures, in addition to all traditional medical solutions for dermatologic concerns. He also provides cutting edge cellular medicine treatments including adult stem cell infusion for anti aging and as well as a therapeutic alternative for many inflammatory disorders. Dr. Balshi has pioneered the use of PRP (platelet rich plasma) and one’s own stem cells as cosmetic enhancing “face lift” to restore one’s natural beauty with one’s own biology.
Dr. Balshi is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Physician Specialties in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He is current governor for the board of the American Academy of Specialist in Dermatology.

General Manager
Michael brings the NPI team over 12 years of sales and marketing experience. He brings an indepth knowledge of the Dietary Health Supplement, Functional Food, and Nutritional Beverage Industries. Mike has successfully been involved with several new product launches into the millions of dollars. Mikes enthusiasm and desire to help clients obtain their goals is unsurpassed in the industry.
Rohan Burey
Account Executive
Rohan Burey has over a decade sales experience and a comprehensive knowledge of the nutraceutical industry, he was previously a representative of USANA Health Sciences. Rohan progressively moved up the ranks at USANA. Some of his many achievements include Retail Sales Director and he was also recognized as Platinum Pace Setter after helping his team to double gross sales volume from previous quarters.
Robert J. Hantman
Director Of Business Affairs
Attorney Robert J. Hantman brings more than 30 years of experience to the NPI board of directors. As legal counsel for NPI, he will play an essential role to assisting the company's foreign partners with establishing themselves in the U.S. market.
Hantman, a native of Newark, N.J., has law degrees from Hebrew University in Jerusalem (1972) and the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Fla. (1975), where he ranked in the top one-third in the National Multi-State Bar Exam. He is a current member of the New York State, New Jersey State, Pennsylvania and Federal Bar Associations; the Florida Bar; the New York City Criminal Defense Bar; the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys; the American Association for Justice and the New York County Lawyers Association. Since 1992, he has been Of Counsel to the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, providing legal advice to the Foreign Ministry and to the Colombian Consulate regarding United States laws and procedures.
Hantman is the head of the New York-based Hantman & Associates, which has affiliated offices in New Jersey and Florida. The firm specializes in civil and legal litigation, real estate, fashion and entertainment, intellectual property and international law, mergers and acquisitions, among other areas of legal practice.
Hantman's firm has worked cases involving such notables as actor Steven Seagal, TV talk show host Montel Williams, hockey star Jeremy Roenick, model/actress Anna Nicole Smith and the New York Yankees.
Dr. Joseph Purtia
Board Of Directors
Dr. Joseph Purita graduated from Georgetown Medical School and served his internship at the University of Florida Medical Center. Following completion of a residency in orthopedic surgery at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, he served as Chief Administrative Resident. Dr. Purita joined the Boca Raton Orthopedic Group in 1981 where he currently still practices.
Dr. Purita is one of the pioneers in PRP and stem cell injection research. His passion for stem cell research has created The Institute of Regenerative and Molecular Orthopedics, where the standard is set for orthopedic stem cell treatments. Doctors from all over the world train in the use of PRP and stem cell treatment with Dr. Purita at The Institute. Having interests beyond traditional practices has led Dr. Purita to acquire a degree in anti-aging medicine. In this field also, Dr. Purita is considered a world renowned authority on anti-aging medicine and the use of nutritional supplementation.
Dr. Purita has formulated a wide variety of supplements. He has lectured world wide on the use of supplementation in wellness, anti-aging and orthopedic capacities.
Jennifer George
Sales Cordinator
Jennifer holds a background in retail sales with six years of experience. She is recognized for her ability to provide extensive lead generation with high conversion rates to efficiently increase company’s revenues. Jennifer will be continuing her sales expertise here with NPI, to increase sales quotas and find new customer bases while maintaining and updating existing client databases and records. In addition to Jennifer’s sales background, she also holds one year of IT Technical Support experience with Sally Beauty Holdings.
Vincent Annunziata
FDA / Compliance
Vince represents nutritional supplement manufacturers and marketers in
regulatory matters before the FDA, FTC and other government agencies.
Vince also represents supplement companies in business transactions
and litigation, including intellectual property matters such as
trademarks, trade secrets and unfair trade practices, as well as
insurance, products liability, employment and commercial litigation
matters.
Stephen J. Kirschner, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen J. Kirschner graduated with a BS from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1966. Mr. Kirschner’s certifications include Certified Public Accountant from the State of New York in 1967 and the State of Florida in 2004. Mr. Kirschner has been a full time resident of the State of Florida for six years. During that time he has provided professional business and consulting services to accounting firms and businesses in the area. He has forensic experience having testified before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the New York State Supreme Court and represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, NY State & NY City Tax Departments and other federal, state and local government agencies. Prior to relocating to Florida Mr. Kirschner was a partner in a Certified Public Accounting firm in New York for over thirty years, during which he garnered experience providing auditing, tax, and management information services to clients engaged in manufacturing, wholesale trade, retail trade, service industries, & to non-profit organizations. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL and the City University of New York. Stephen is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York state Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Stuart Kalmanowitz

Mr. Kalmanowitz brings to NPI many years of experience in the financial and management fields. Mr. Kalmanowitz was a consultant with an accounting firm in New York City, as well as a Chief Financial Officer for three medical centers in New York. Mr. Kalmanowitz’s background and experience enables him to help NPI's Domestic and International clients.
Michael I. Santucci, Esq.
Senior advisor / trade market intellectual property
Michael I. Santucci, Esq. has a well established concentration in litigation of intellectual property and commercial issues including trade secrets, the arts and entertainment, trademarks, copyrights, computer and e-commerce, business and corporate matters.
Mr. Santucci was an original member of the litigation team with Johnnie Cochran and Willie E. Gary in the 2002 landmark case of All Pro Sports Camps, Inc. vs. Walt Disney Company in which he helped obtain a record $240,000,000 for his clients.
Mr. Santucci represented Miss Vermont in another highly publicized internet-related First Amendment case which involved the protection of privacy rights of celebrities. In a trademark infringement suit against international rap star Nelly, Mr. Santucci acts as lead counsel for the musical group Vokal, and has been quoted in numerous publications and Internet media worldwide through international wire service articles published by United Press International, The Associated Press, and The BBC, and was featured in Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly magazines. As a result of his representation, his client Vokal was featured on the television show "Celebrity Justice."
